Ferguson Animal Hospital was started in Newport Rhode Island in 1931, by  Howard F. Ferguson, D.V.M.,  a graduate of Ontario Veterinary College.  Dr. Ferguson treated family pets, and farm animals.  When World War II broke out it became Dr. Ferguson's duty to watch over for Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut's farm animals.  In order to be more centrally located the doctor moved his practice to North Providence in 1942.  George H. Ferguson joined his father's practice in 1962 after graduating from Michigan State Veterinary College. George Ferguson, D.V.M.  took over the practice after his father's death in 1967, and the hospital has been run under his supervision until his death in August of 2003.  Ferguson Animal Hospital is now a companion animal practice. demand for the care   Dr Ferguson's family, and the Ferguson Animal Hospital Team are dedicated to continuing the 76 year long tradition of caring for your family pets.
