We Strive to make your pets as
comfortable as possible during their stay at our hospital.
We encourage you to leave familiar objects such as toys or
articles of clothing in order to make your companion feel more at
home. Our kennel is air conditioned. Most pets
who are admitted in the morning for surgery or diagnostics return
home the same day.

 Laboratory

This is the hematology section of our
hospital. Using the equipment shown on the left we are
capable of getting complete chemistry profiles, and complete
blood counts (CBC's) for our patients. The equipment
is also used to run thyroid tests, and pre-surgical blood
screening. Most of our results are available within
twelve minutes, which is very important when working
with critical patients.
Many treatment decisions are made based
on blood test results. We also use many outside
laboratory facilities for specific tests, and most results
are available in 24 hours.

Anesthesia
When the time comes for your pet to
undergo a surgical procedure we want you to to be
informed. Our veterinarians utilize equipment and
anesthesia products that we feel are the best available. Sevoflurane anesthesia
is our main
anesthetic agent.. For decades we have used inhalation
anesthesia products because we feel they are the safest.

Laser
Surgery is here!
We utilize a state of the art laser surgical
unit for many of the surgical procedures we perform.
Use of a CO2 Laser during surgery will speed the recovery of
almost any surgical procedure. Many procedures are performed
with a laser in lieu of traditional surgical techniques in
order to reduce bleeding, and swelling. Lasers cut
with a beam of light and nerve endings are sealed in the
process. Pets wake up with less pain! Lasers
seal blood vessels reducing bleeding, and they seal
lymphatic vessels reducing the potential for
post-operative swelling. Ferguson Animal Hospital
Surgeons use Lasers for many of our procedures. Feline
Declawing is done exclusively with our Laser unit. For more
information about co2 lasers visit this link:
